HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!

Mark is sleeping, so figured it was the perfect time to take a few minutes and wish everyone a very Happy New Year. Wishing all of Team Mark

a great time tonight, and a wonderful year ahead. 2018 is going to be a great year for all of us !! As I sit here in front of the computer, I feel quite conflicted tonight. How could the best year and the worst year of my life both be 2017? The first half of the year was incredible. The Spring encompassed getting ready for our wedding, and then the actual event. What a blast to share our union with so many dear friends. And afterwards, we were both a bit surprised how different everything felt. Even after so many years together, getting married took our relationship to a new plateau. But then Fall arrived, and brought cancer with it. It was a quick plummet from the plateau to the valley floor. But everyday Mark continues the slow climb back up, with all of us lending our support and pushing him on. He's got 3 more radiations to go next week, and then the rest of January will be about healing. Tests will then be 2-3 months down the road to see if his battle is over. I am happy to report he is still eating orally occasionally !!! I think this fact alone will certainly help in the healing process ahead. The chemo side effects from Wednesday's session are in full swing, and will hopefully subside in the next couple of days. Lots of sleep for him the past two days, and hopefully more the rest of the weekend.
